Turning disappointment into appointment

Disappointment may indicate missing an appointment.

Turning disappointment into appointment
No matter the reason for your disappointment…

Maybe I hadn’t used the right word.
Since English is not my ancestral language.

No matter the reason why.

There is always something of value that could be found within the experience that has left you defeated.

Disappointment has left you somewhere.

Then it was time to reflect about this, in order to concentrate and make decisions about your future.

A mistake catches your attention.

Within this you could have the opportunity to be both refined and defined by what you have really chosen to learn.

Your disappointment will become a divine appointment.

And show you a way you never would have thought to go.

Life is about choices.
Those you make and those you don’t.

The correct ones will soon be confirmed.

It is well known that several Market Wizards also lost big money or declared bankruptcy.

Michael Marcus – squandered most of his earnings outside of trading
Ed Seykota – declared bankruptcy after receiving bad tax advice and being in a deep drawdown
Richard Dennis – his Flagship Fund was closed in 1988. His second fund was started in the ’90s and quickly closed
Gary Bielfeldt – seems his trading method no longer worked
Tom Baldwin – not sure how much of it was trading related and how much outside of trading

Amomg all of them, Seykota’s interview was arguably the most provocative.
It is clear that he guided traders who then went on to make names for themselves.
And I don’t think he was selling consulting services at that time.

Later charged $1.000 per hour for consultation.
Of course, he is entitled to run a business and charge for his services.

And the more you are famous in the world, the higher the fee you could ask for your services.
A fundamental market law.

The question that arises, however, is why is he charging when we do not know how he is doing whereas he apparently did not charge at a time when we knew he was doing well ?

Other important question

While I am certain Seykota is a unique and very smart man, the real reason for the existence of the Trading Tribe will emerge.

Of course he is interested in gathering as many experiences as possible, in order to provide information to universities (MIT in particular) about different human behavior.
And when a newbie of a Trading Tribe asks for some information about opening a new one, immediately a “senior” answers you always in this way : “Hello, my name is XYZ but you can call me simply Chief”.

Chief ?
If you only want to open your own tribe ?

The last one

Just do a Google search.

1:30 – 3:30 PM – Resolve Poly Conflicts in a Tribe – Ed Seykota

The World Polyamory Association advocates CHOICE.

Be the chooser, decider, author of this chapter of your life.
WPA wants you to make discerning choices that serve you.
Make choices that facilitate your personal growth and evolution and at the same time honor and respect the people you commit to love.

You have relationship options – monogamy, celibacy, open marriage, pair-bonded inclusive relating, triads (man-woman-man, woman-man-woman, man-man-man, woman-woman-woman) polyfidelity, loving networks, group marriage, multi-generational line marriage, and more.
Have heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual alternatives within each.

You have many spiritual practices and value systems to chose–to mix and match with your relationship options, styles and sexual orientation.
What is most important is that you are the chooser and that you come from choice.

Of course the problem (in my humble opinion) is not that if he currently lives (or not) a Poliamory relationship, or supporting multigenerational line marriage.
But in all his books and also in his website he openly supports a traditional family.

I’m certainly not the person who criticizes life choices.
Just read my blog.

But perhaps I understand the reason for this behaviour.
He is not the man who seems.

Of course these are not loaded questions.
Rather, sincere ones.

In the end the truth always emerges.
Ed Seykota – and also his current favourite student George Coyle – has recently shown his appreciation for the qualities of George Soros as a trader.

Such a shame.
Because George Soros has been anything but a trader during his career.

At this point there is nothing to add :

In the heat of the night
(You lose your heart and sell your soul)
I lose control in the heat of the night
(It’s much too late to leave the trade)
But I can’t stand it anymore
(You lose your heart, it’s your soul)
I lose control in the heat of the night
(In heat of the night)

Of course Seykota in his website actively speaks about the “dangerous disease”.
And also a mathematical lab is present.
